Expert Panel Working Meeting Held on Field Environment Observation Stations

The expert panel on national field observation stations on environment held the first working meeting in 2008 on March 26th.

The panel believed that the national field stations on the eco-environment, special environment and background atmosphere had made remarkable accomplishments in the past two years, and basically attained the goals of relevant projects. The implementation plan of the project on building a platform of national field observation stations in 2007 was feasible and adopted on principle.

The panel held that as the project from 2005 to 2007 focused on observation capacities and hardware, the strength of network research and the exemplary role of these stations had yet to be fully demonstrated and more importance should be given to scientific research.
