On April 15th, the Ministry of Science and Technology held the discussion meeting on energy science and technology work.

In light with the situation confronted by the energy sector in China, the experts present at the meeting made in-depth discussions on the latest research results and advancements in a number of areas and contributed many suggestions and opinions on responding energy issues emphasizing on energy conservation and emission reduction, clean coal production, renewable energy development and utilization, advanced nuclear power development and response to climate change,.

Wan Gang, Minister of Science and Technology indicated that the MOST would work in conjunction with the departments such as the NDRC to jointly study and formulate a technical road map for energy development.
