The 5th China-UK Joint Committee Meeting in Science and Technology was held on 16 April of 2008 in Lancaster House, London.
The two parties exchanged views on the latest progress in science and innovation, reviewing the rapid enlargement of S&T collaboration between the two countries and agreeing that the China-UK S&T relations had never been better in history.
They also made adjustment to the six priority areas confirmed by last JCM and decided that climate change, energy and environment, stem cell and modernization of traditional medicines, infectious disease, nano-technology, space technology and innovation policies should be the priority areas for cooperation in the next two years.
