On June 19th, 2008, Department of Basic Research organized a seminar in Beijing for expert advice on the basic S&T work of this year.

The experts fully discussed the roles and influence of basic S&T work, summarized the achievements attained and put forward new ideas for the next-step work based on previously collected basic materials.

The Department of Basic Research will make best use of the suggestions to push forward smooth progression of basic S&T work in 2008.
