On July 25th, the China SSL 2008 was held at Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center.

The forum has collected 165 papers, among which 69 by foreign scholars, 22 from Hong Kong SAR and Chinese Taiwan, and the rest from the mainland. 47 representatives from world renowned research institutes and transnational corporations shared their ideas on SSL technology and its application.

During the two-day event, the participants discussed SSL development and made predictions on the technology. The topics included technology bottlenecks and roadmap, status quo and future trend of SSL application, energy saving and environment-friendly SSL application as well as standards and patents. The two sub-sessions, focusing on epitaxy & chip and packaging & application respectively, were the most welcome.
