Within the framework of the Joint Action on China’s Innovative High-speed Train, the third plenary session of the general expert panel meeting was held in Beijing lately.

The China Academy of Railway Sciences introduced the testing of the Beijing-Tianjin passenger train at the meeting. Experts held intensive discussion before proposing a top-level design for the next generation high-speed train. Accordingly a detail plan was drawn to guide the future work.

The meeting was followed by a field study on the Beijing-Tianjin passenger train. Experts took a ride on the CRH2-300 and CRH3 trains developed by China.
