The Department of Rural Science & Technology and China Rural Technology Development Center held a meeting on poverty relief on August 12-13 in Pengyang County of Ningxia Autonomous Region. The meeting aimed to sum up efforts of poverty alleviation by MOST and prepare for the next step with a focus on villages as required by the State Council Leading Group Office of Poverty Alleviation and Development.

The meeting provided a platform for the exchange of ideas on poverty relief and the future, with members of the 22nd Poverty Relief Mission briefing on the first half of year. On the sideline of the meeting, delegates made a field study on rural information technology and poverty alleviation with the support of science officials in Pengyang.
