To further standardize and strengthen the management of state key laboratories, MOST and the Ministry of Finance (MOF) jointly promulgated the Management Measures on Running of State Key Laboratories on August 29th, 2008.

The Interim Management Measures on the Running of State Key Laboratories (2002) which has been carried out over the past six years was warmly welcomed by the S&T community. It has played an important role to standardize the establishment and operation of state key laboratories.

The new Measures made six major amendments to the Interim Measures. MOST and MOF will jointly formulate and promulgate Measures on Special Fund Management for State Key Laboratories, to enhance the efficiency of fund utilization.
