On September 5th, 2008, the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences held the Workshop on Scientific Method in Agriculture in Beijing.

JIA Jingdun, Deputy Director-General of Rural Science and Technology introduced on the background of agricultural scientific method research. JIA pointed out that the current priority is to design practicable working plan, clarify near-term goal and mission, and form a stable working team, laying a solid foundation for agricultural scientific method innovation.

Experts attending the Workshop agreed that agricultural scientific method research required stronger financial support on the basis of pilot development.
