Seminar on Climate Change Adaptation of East Asia Summit (EAS) opened in Beijing on October 9th. More than 100 senior officials of EAS member states, representatives and scientists from international organizations including ASEAN Secretariat, UNDP and UNEP attended the Seminar. It’s an important international seminar held by EAS member states to adapt to climate change. Vice Chairman of the National Committee of CPPCC and Minister of Science and Technology WAN Gang addressed the opening ceremony.
Besides opening ceremony and ministerial round table, the two-day Seminar includes three sessions on “common problems”, “policy and action”, “fund mechanism, technological transfer and international cooperation” of climate change adaptation.
