Vice Minister LI Xueyong met with a Canadian delegation jointly organized by the Council of the Federation and the Canada China Business Council on November 4th.

LI expressed his welcome to Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty who led the delegation, and referred to Canada as an important partner in economic, trading and S&T cooperation. He believed the two countries had broad prospect of S&T cooperation.

The meeting also saw the signing of MOU on Research and Innovation between MOST and Ontario and Joint Declaration on the 2nd Calling for Cooperative Projects between MOST and Quebec.
