On November 25th -26th, the 2008 National Working Meeting on S&T Statistics was held in Beijing. The meeting summarized major progress in 2008, made plans for 2009, and carried out training on the annual statistics report.

It was hoped that people working for S&T statistics across China could take real situation into consideration, closely follow the hot issues, and carry out field studies in a bid to enhance innovation capacity of China.
