On December 15th of 2008, MOST, Italian Ministry of Environment, Territory and Sea, and Italian national power company ENEL jointly held “China-Italy Clean Coal & Carbon Capture and Storage(CCS) Seminar” in Beijing.

The Seminar covered a wide variety of issues on tackling climate change, including energy efficiency, energy security, and carbon dioxide emissions.

On December 16th, about 20 Chinese and Italian experts visited “Coal-fired Power Plant CO2 Capture Pilot and Demonstration Project” in Huaneng Beijing Thermal Power Plant in Gaobeidian, Beijing.
