On December 27th of 2008, Legal Seminar on Research Integrity was held in Law School of Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Experts discussed the definition and types of misconduct in scientific research, shared international experience in building legal system of research integrity, and explored China’s status quo and problems in this field.

Participants unanimously agreed that China should establish and improve a set of legal mechanism to effectively prevent and timely punish the misconduct in scientific research.
