On February 17^th of 2009, the Department of Policy, Regulations and Reform of MOST held a meeting to report on the preparation for the 2009 S&T Week. Representatives from 22 departments attended the meeting and made proposals for the S&T Week.

With the theme of “innovation and harmonious development”, the 2009 S&T Week will emphasize energy saving, environment protection, security and public health.
