On February 20th of 2009, China National Center for Biotechnology Development of MOST organized a work meeting on bio-science innovation method. More than 40 scholars from nearly 30 organizations attended the meeting, discussing the innovation method in twenty related fields.
  
The meeting further clarified the idea of bio-science innovation method, with proposals made in each sub-discipline according to the overall framework.
