Minister WAN Gang of Science and Technology and Governor LUO Baoming of Hainan Provincial Government signed a protocol on establishing a consultation mechanism between the ministry and the provincial government in Haikou on February 20^th.

Consensus was achieved at the first work conference after the signing ceremony on following topics:

1.             Scientific research and service system for tropical agriculture;

2.             Seed reproduction in southern China;

3.             Establishing an eco-province;

4.             Exploring resources and developing hi-tech industries;

5.             Keeping abreast with the new era.
