On February 26th-27th of 2009, Department of High and New Technology Development and Industrialization of MOST held a seminar in Kunming to discuss about how to help SMEs tackle financial crisis through upgrading. The seminar highlighted the role of productivity promotion centers in this process.  

Topics focused on how to develop S&T intermediate agencies to better serve SMEs, with productivity promotion centers playing the leading role. Participants explored new ideas and measures for the next step of work, and put forward reasonable and constructive opinions and suggestions.
