On March 23rd-24^th 2009, more than 80 Chinese and American scholars attended the 3^rd China-US Roundtable on Scientific Data Cooperation in Qingdao.

Representatives from the Department of Basic Research of MOST delivered a keynote speech on data collection and scientific data sharing in the field of resource and environment under the National Basic Research Program of China. They also discussed policies on scientific data sharing with experts.                                                   

Panel discussions covered such topics as data sharing policies, bio-medical data application, environmental and geo-space data application, e-Science data application, etc.
