Minister WAN Gang of Science and Technology met with Stockwell Day, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada (DFAIT) in Beijing on the morning of April 13th, 2009.
Wan extended welcome to Minister Day for his visit to MOST. Both agreed that China-Canada S&T cooperation had a good momentum over the past few years, with fruits reaped in such areas as energy, environment, health care, and agriculture since the signing of the agreement on S&T collaboration. Both also exchanged opinions on strengthening joint efforts in intelligent transportation.
At the meeting, Wan and Day announced six projects supported by China-Canada Joint S&T Fund in 2009.
