On June 18th of 2009, the 3rd Session of China-Colombia Intergovernmental S&T Cooperation Joint Committee Meeting was held in Beijing. MA Linying, head of the Chinese delegation, Deputy Director General of Department of International Cooperation of MOST, and Mr. Enrique Maruri, head of Colombian delegation, and Director of International Cooperation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Colombia, jointly hosted the session.

Both introduced the S&T development, policies, and international cooperation in their respective countries, and exchanged opinions on further promoting bilateral S&T cooperation. Both agreed to identify agriculture, energy conservation and emission reduction, biomass energy, mobile classroom, and science parks as priority field for future cooperation. The two also signed the meeting minutes.
