The ASEAN Technical Training Workshop, organized by the Department of International Cooperation (DIC) of MOST, was held from August 6 to 7 in Nannin, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Over 20 representatives from China Science and Technology Exchange Center (CSTEC) and various local S&T bureaus and commissions were present in the event.

On behalf of DIC, representatives from CSTEC made a summary on the technical training programs for ASEAN countries in recent years. During the workshop, representatives from Guangxi S&T bureau and Guangxi Baise Modern Agricultural Park analysed the present situation and prospect of the technical cooperation with ASEAN countries and assessed some specific projects. They also put forward constructive suggestions on the training course.
