The Thirteenth Regular Meeting of Sino-Russia S&T Cooperation Sub-Committee, affiliated to the Committee of Regular Meeting between Chinese Premier and Russian Prime Minister, was held on August 13 in the city of Irkutsk, Russia. The meeting was co-chaired by the Vice Minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China CAO Jianlin, and Director of the Agency for Science and Innovation of the Russian Federation Sergei Mazurenko.

During the meeting, both countries gave reports on the latest development and international cooperation in S&T, deliberated and passed the working report submitted by Sino-Russia High-tech Working Group, made conclusions on the achievements of Sino-Russia S&T cooperation projects from 2008 to 2009, and confirmed the bilateral S&T cooperation in the next two years. Besides, both sides exchanged ideas and reached consensus on deepening S&T cooperation under the new situation, especially the cooperation in high-tech and innovation.
