Recently, the S&T Commission of Anhui Province asked experts to make a field measurement of the production of the seven wheat demo counties/farms under the science and technology project for food production. The uplifting results showed that core areas and demo zones of the seven demo counties had all met the targets of production. According to the experts, the bumper harvest and a record-high per-unit yield, despite the unfavorable weather conditions like successive droughts in winter and spring, lies in the fact that Anhui Province has promoted the integrated high-yielding technology demonstration and application, and made great efforts to spread the new technology in carrying out science and technology project for food production.
