The Vice Minister of MOST CAO Jianlin met with Muhammad Azam Khan Swati, Federal Minister for Science and Technology of Pakistan, on August 21.
The two leaders exchanged ideas on S&T cooperation and some other issues. VM CAO introduced the S&T progress in China and the Ministry of Science and Technology. He also said that MOST attaches great importance to the exchanges and cooperation in S&T with Pakistan.
Minister Swati, in response, said that Pakistan would strengthen its all-dimensional S&T cooperation with China in a new around of development, and was looking forward to the next joint committee meeting on bilateral S&T cooperation next year. All of these efforts, according to him, would help to guide the two countries in S&T cooperation and exchanges and identify new joint research projects.
The two also exchanged views on the Commission on Science and Technology for Sustainable Development in the South (COMSATS), establishment of S&T parks and incubators in Pakistan, dispatch of working group to China in preparation for the joint committee meeting.
