Vice Minister of MOST CAO Jianlin met with Defense Minister and Minister of Research, Science and Technology of New Zealand Wayne Mapp on September 23 in Beijing.

VM CAO highly recognized the progress in S&T cooperation since the first meeting of the Joint Committee of China-New Zealand S&T Cooperation, and the role of scientist exchange program. VM CAO also introduced China’s S&T achievements during the past 60 years.

In return, Minister Wayne Mapp informed the Chinese side of New Zealand’s latest progress in S&T, and the new position of S&T Advisor by the new government. He also proposed to carry out research team twinning cooperation program based on the present cooperation.
