In order to further facilitate the science and technology drive in counties and cities, the Interview on S&T Work in Counties, organized by the Administrative Office and the Department of Rural Science and Technology, was held on November 27, Beijing. The meeting attracted a host of mainstream media, like Xinhua News Agency, People’s Daily, CCTV, China National Radio, Science and Technology Daily, and China Youth Daily. Those in charge of S&T provincial bureaus and demonstration counties and cities were under the limelight.

Leaders and representatives to the meeting made brief introductions on science and technology progress in those regions. They highlighted the experience and measures in promoting industrial development through science and technology. The media paid special attention to the meeting and would make follow-up reports.
