Minister WAN Gang met with the delegation of United Technologies Corporation (UTC) headed by Senior Vice President Michael McQuade on January 18, 2010, Beijing. Both sides exchanged ideas on clean technology cooperation.
Minister WAN introduced the China-US Clean Energy Research Center, the “10 Cities-1000 Clean Vehicles” programme, and FCV application during the Shanghai World Expo. He welcomed enterprises, universities, and research institutes from both countries, including UTC to work together on clean energy. In return, Vice President McQuade briefed the UTC’s cooperation with Tsinghua University and Tongji University in energy conservation in buildings, FCV and some other fields, and said that UTC was ready to actively take part in the scientific cooperation between the two countries.
