The 13th China-Japan Joint Committee Meeting on S&T Cooperation (JCM) was held on February 3-4 in Beijing. It was the first ministerial JCM since agreement was reached by Chinese and Japanese heads of state in 2008. It was also the first time for enterprises to be involved in JCM. Vice Minister CAO Jianlin of MOST and Ambassador Yoshinori Katori of Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Minister Yasutaka Moriguchi of Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology led delegations to the event.
Both sides exchanged the latest science and technology policies, and explored possibility of expanding cooperation in the future.
Themed at “Innovation and Cooperation”, JCM also held the Forum on Production, Learning and Research for the first time.
