The unveiling ceremony of Liaoning (Benxi) Biomedicine Technology Industry Base was held recently in Shenyang. CPPCC Vice Chairman and MOST Minister WAN Gang attended the event and unveiled the board name for the base together with Liaoning Governor Chen Zhenggao. After the ceremony, Minister WAN surveyed the biomedicine technology industry base.

Minister WAN put forward three demands concerning the construction of the base:

· Seize opportunities and shore up biomedicine industry through better management;

· Stick to indigenous innovation, and accelerate the building of world-class research and development base and industrialization base which are featured with high performance, high quality and high efficiency;

· Incorporate local features of Benxi to optimize the overall fast development.
