A seminar attended by NPC and CPPCC Representatives from the motor industry was held on March 11, Beijing. Over 30 people were present at the event, including CPPCC Vice Chairman and MOST Minister WAN Gang, MOST Vice Minister DU Zhanyuan, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Miao Xu, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Finance Zhang Shaochun.

During the seminar, CPPCC Permanent Member and Head of the Major Project of Energy Conservation and New Energy Vehicle of State 863 Program Ouyang Minggao reported the planning for new energy vehicle development during the Twelfth-Five Year Plan. Representatives also exchanged ideas on the development of the motor industry and new energy vehicles in China.
