The China-Brazil Science and Innovation Work Conference was held on March 24, Beijing. Deputy Director of International Cooperation MA Linying and Director of Science and Technology from Brazil’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Vianna co-chaired the event. Over 20 attendants were present at the conference.
Both sides highly recognized the progress since the signing of the Work Plan for Innovation Cooperation between the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology and the Brazilian Ministry of Science and Technology, and emphasized that the partnership was in line with the interest of the two countries and the two peoples, and set an example for South-South Cooperation. In the future, the two countries should deepen collaboration in bio-fuel, space technology, nano-technology and information technology order to deal with global challenges together, such as the financial crisis, climate change, and food safety.
