Recently, MOST invited eminent experts in rural information technology to attend the Consultation Meeting on National Demo Province of Rural IT in Jinan, Shandong Province. Vice Minister of MOST ZHANG Laiwu and Vice Governor of Shandong Li Zhaoqian addressed the event.

During his speech, VM ZHANG highly recognized the achievements in rural IT in Shandong. He pointed out that based on the favorable conditions, Shandong should draw on experiences of other provinces, optimize resources and balance interests of different groups, so as to form synergies for the promotion of IT development in Shandong’s rural areas.

Shandong’s relevant science and technology bureaus and offices reported the work in rural IT. Participating experts put forward many insightful and constructive suggestions.
