BioVision Alexandria 2010, organized by the Library of Alexandria and the World Life Sciences Forum, was held in April, Egypt. With the theme of “New life sciences and future”, the conference consisted of Nobel Day, plenary lectures, keynote speeches, and exhibitions. Over 1,500 people from 50 countries attended the event, including a delegation from MOST China National Center for Biotechnology Development.
Focusing on health, environment, food and agriculture, participants to the conference held discussions on a host of issues, including climate change, sustainable agricultural technology, global challenges for biotechnology and health, clean energy, application of agricultural and biological technology, environmental safety and agricultural development, cancer prevention and treatment. The conference called for people’s attention to future biotechnology, while sticking to moral standards, improving living environment for human beings and generating benefits to all.
