China-U.S. EV Technical Expert Meeting has been successfully held in Beijing on May 20th, 2010, which is the follow-up of the signing of the Protocol Between the Ministry of Science and Technology and the National Energy Administration of the People's Republic of China and the Department of Energy of the United States of America on a Clean Energy Research Center. Dr. Larry Johnson, the director of Transport Technology R&D Center, Argonne National Laboratory and representative from the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Technology addressed the meeting. Over 20 China and U.S. experts, scholars and enterprise representatives involved with EV technical research attended the meeting.
The meeting was chaired by Prof. Ouyang Minggao of Tsinghua University, Prof. Wu Feng of Beijing Institute of Technology and Dr. Larry Johnson of Argonne National Laboratory. The keynote speakers from the two countries made brief introductions respectively on U.S. EV current development, battery testing systems conducted in Argonne National Laboratory, China’s EV and battery standards. The experts also confirmed issues of the following Argonne Workshop, which is to be held in August this year.
