The study on producing medium-density fiberboard using crop straw, a part of the major project on green manufacturing technology and equipment supported by the Enabling Program was checked and accepted recently in Shenyang.

The new technology, developed by Shenyang Heavy Machinery Group, can significantly reduce emissions of carbon dioxide and save energy by 50%. The project has already obtained five invention patents and two utility model patents, winning the Top Science and Technology Prize in Liaoning Province.
