The Promotion Conference on Key Technology in High Reliability Monitoring System for Coal Mine Safety, which is under the State Science and Technology Initiative, was held recently in Beijing by State Administration on Work Safety.

The high reliability monitoring system is aimed to address the deficiencies in current coal mine monitoring system through self-diagnosis of sensors and wireless access technology for safety detectors. The project will also set up demos to facilitate upgrade of safety control technologies for coal mines.
