The 58th Meeting of International Energy Agency (IEA) Working Party on Fossil Fuels (WPFF) was held from Jun. 9 to 11, Beijing.
The meeting discussed the strategies and work plans of WPFF, progresses in Carbon Capture and Storage (CSS) prepared for the upcoming G8 Summit, new-generation fossil fuel technology, cooperation between IEA and Asian countries, IEA implementation agreement and expert panel. Experts from China made a special report on Policies and Programs: Prospects for Fossil Fuels in China.
At the same time, MOST-IEA Workshop on New-Generation Fossil Fuel Technology was also held. The prospects for fossil fuels, advanced power generation technology, future fuels and CSS were discussed.
