A workshop on new solar battery, organized by Department of High and New Technology Development and Industrialization, MOST, was held recently in Beijing. Representatives from over 30 relevant universities, research institutes, and enterprises attended the meeting.

The key concerns of the workshop included the foundation, development thinking and target, and the technological trend of the new solar battery in China. The forum was set to listen to the suggestions of all parties, and choose the right development path of the solar battery which supports sustainable development and cost-effective application of the technology in the future.
