On July 28, MOST Department of Basic Research held a meeting to discuss the feasibility of establishing State Key Laboratory for Meat Quality and Safety Control. After careful examining and discussion, experts agreed that feasible plans have been adopted in the training of professionals, team building and management mechanism.
The future SKL for Meat Quality and Safety Control will focus on the technology in animal breeding, meat processing, and monitoring records of meat quality and safety, which will facilitate the technology of safe meat production and the establishment of indsutry standards.
