MOST-UNEP Mid-Term Evaluation Meeting was held from Aug. 5 to 6, Lanzhou.

The meeting assessed the progress of the programs in the preliminary phase, discussed the experiences and existing problems in the implementation of the programs, and worked out next-phase working plans. Representatives also visited Gansu Hydraulic Research Institute and Gansu Natural Resources Research Department (International Solar Energy Center for Technology Promotion and Transfer of the UN Industrial Development Organization), and held discussions with African students who participated in the 2010 Workshop on Rain Resources for the Developing Countries.
