Forum on China-Italy 7-Year Cooperation in Sustainable Development was held at the Italian Pavilion within the World Expo Park on Sept. 18. MOST Vice Minister WANG Weizhong addressed the event.
The China-Italy Training Program on Sustainable development is an important part of the cooperation in environment and energy between MOST and Italian Ministry for Environment, Land and Sea. Since its inception in 2003, 34 programs have been held and over 1,073 participants from 31 Chinese provinces (regions and cities) joined the program. Themes of the Program cover sustainable development, climate change, new and renewable energy, energy efficiency management, and low-carbon economy. The program is aimed at improving participants’ understanding of sustainable development and enabling better policy making and management.
