International Hydrogen Energy and Fuel Cell Forum, sponsored by MOST and International Partnership for the Hydrogen Economy (IPHE) and organized by Tongji University, was held Sept. 21 to 22, Shanghai.
Experts from China, US, EU, Japan, etc. exchanged ideas on hydrogen technology, fuel cell and fuel cell vehicles. Over the past years, China have provided continuous support for the R&D of hydrogen energy and fuel cell, making breakthroughs in the hydrogen production, storage and transport and fuel cell technologies. It is noteworthy that after 20 fuel cell vehicles were demonstrated during the 2008 Beijing Olympics, another 200 fuel cell vehicles were put into demo operation during the 2010 Shanghai World Expo. This marks a new period in the R&D of fuel cell and fuel cell vehicles in China.
Founded in 2003, IPHE aims to facilitate international cooperation in hydrogen and fuel cell technologies. It has a total of 17 members.
