MOST Vice Minister CAO Jianlin met with visiting UNESCO Assistant Director-General Grechen Kalonji, who came to participate in a ministerial meeting on innovation and sustainable development and the Summer Davos Forum, on Sept. 9 of 2010 in Beijing.
VM CAO said that MOST would actively implement the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation signed by the Chinese government and UNESCO in May this year. In addition, MOST would also support UNESCO and participate in the exchanges and cooperation in natural sciences and information technology. Both sides agreed to establish a UNESCO center of education, science and culture in China.
