MOST Minister WAN Gang met with visiting New Zealand Minister of Defense and Research Science and Technology Wayne Mapp on Oct. 15 in Beijing. Both sides highly affirmed the progress in science and technology cooperation and highly recognized the exchanges between scientists and the establishment of China-New Zealand Strategic Research Alliance. They agreed to strengthen cooperation in new energy, food safety, environment, etc. in the future. After the meeting, the two ministers signed the Joint Statement of China-New Zealand Cooperative Research Fund.
