China International Industry Fair 2010 Held in Shanghai |
The China International Industry Fair 2010, sponsored by the National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, MOST and Shanghai Municipal People’s Government, was held in Shanghai from Nov. 9 to 13, 2010. MOST Vice Minister DU Zhanyuan attended the opening ceremony.
Focusing on prioritized industries and major science and technology projects in China, six exhibition sections were set up: CNC Machine Tools, Metal Working, Automation, Energy, Environmental Protection, IT and Scientific & Technology Innovation. Exhibitors from 19 countries and regions participated in the expo, bringing with them the state-of-the-art products and technologies.
A science and technology exhibition area was set up by MOST in the section of science and technology innovation, showing the technological achievements that had been successfully applied to the Shanghai World Expo, including new energy vehicles, light emitting diode (LED) technology, LED communication, clean energy technology, 3D video technology, TD-LTE, high-performance broadband information network, smart transport, smart grid, smart store, Expo 2010 Shanghai China Online, service robots, the Chongming Low Carbon Development Demo Project, etc.
