The 8th Meeting of China-Chile Commission on Science and Technology Cooperation was held in Beijing on Nov. 16，2010. MOST Deputy Secretary-General WANG Zhixue and Dr. Aguilera, Director of the National Commission for Science and Technology of Chile jointly presided over the event and signed the meeting minutes.
Both sides gave positive evaluations on the cooperation and exchanges in science and technology between China and Chile, and agreed to promote cooperation in areas concerned by both, such as new energy, seismic technology, bio-technology, information technology based on an equal footing and win-win results through personnel exchange, seminars, workshops, etc.
