MOST Vice Minister DU Zhanyuan met with Lena Domingos, Vice Minister of the Cuban Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment on Nov. 30，2010 in Beijing.

At the meeting, the Cuban Vice Minister appreciated MOST’s long-term support to the development of science and technology in Cuba and the accomplishments of China-Cuba S&T cooperation. VM DU briefed on the policies and measures for agriculture, e.g. agricultural S&T extension service personnel. Both sides agreed to promote cooperation in prioritized areas such as agri-technology and food security, share experiences in technological development, and facilitate sustainable socio-economic development to improve people’s livelihoods.
