Minister WAN Gang met with Mr. Attilio Massimo Iannucci, the new Italian Ambassador to China, and a delegation headed by Director General Corrado Clini from the Italian Ministry for Environment, Land and Sea, on February 10th, 2011.

The two sides spoke highly of the Sino-Italian cooperation in science and technology and its important role in the bilateral relations. Both sides believed that the cooperation between China and Italy on energy saving, emissions reduction and sustainable development had become a highlight in the bilateral ties. The two sides also exchanged views on the implementation of the memorandum of understanding on cooperation in electric vehicles which was signed during Chinese Premiere WEN Jiabao’s visit to Italy in 2010, the promotion of green housing, and the training of personnel for sustainable development.
