The 8th Session of the Joint Committee Meeting on Science and Technology Cooperation between the Government of the People’s Republic of China and the Government of Vietnam was held in Hanoi, Vietnam on February 14, 2011.

At this session, both sides reviewed the implementation of programs initiated at the 7th JCM session, discussed and approved the 2011-2012 Program on Bilateral S&T Cooperation. The two sides decided to jointly support, in the next two years, 11 long-term research projects and 17 short-term exchange projects in a number of priority fields such as information and communication, climate change, technology application and technology transfer.
